World of Tanks Strv S1 - 7 Kills 7,3K Damage

The Strv S1 is a Swedish tier 8 premium tank destroyer.

The development of an advanced tank for Swedish army was performed by Sven Berge. First drafts of the unique vehicle were developed in 1956. By 1961, the design of the new vehicle was finalized, and a wooden prototype was built. Later, the first Strv S1 prototype was built and used for testing of the new type of suspension, which allowed for vertical aiming of the rigidly mounted gun. The Strv S2 prototype was developed by the end of 1962. Both prototypes became the basis for the mass production of the Strv 103 tank.

The Stridsvagn S1 is practically a T8 version of the 103-0, with somewhat similar mobility and handling. Like its T8-10 brethren, playing style is ultimately defined by the so-called siege mode. This limits the tank destroyer greatly in an offensive role - while mobility is fair when in travel mode, siege mode (which lets you actually aim vertically) limits you to 9-10km/h. Furthermore, aiming and moving is a challenge at best, which somewhat limits the usefulness of the low profile and good tank/gun depression. It's recommended to try at least the UDES before you buy a S1 - as the siege mode mechanics is not for everyone.

Unlike the 103-0 and 103B, it gets overmatched by guns over 90mm. That means it can be useful against up to T8 medium tanks, but very few heavy tanks (Caernarvon being the exception as of 9.19). This limits how effective the tank can be in an offensive role, though it remains a viable support vehicle due to low profile and depression. The exceptional penetration and accuracy will allow you to deal with most T10 tanks even frontally, including tanks like Maus and Type 5. This will typically lead to the enemies focusing on you if you're spotted - with a great gun comes ...low survivability.

Despite the disadvantages, the S1 holds up remarkably well in T10 matches - which thanks to the matchmaking system you will see a lot of. The excellent mobility makes taking advance positions a viable tactic, as opposed to sitting in the base and waiting for people. If you're one of those, you're likely looking for the Skorpion G - which at about the same cost hits harder for when you want to sit in the base and moves far better when you'd rather not (as if).

Can generally be considered a good creditmaker, due to low dependance on premium shells and high chance of penetrating your shots.

World of Tanks Type 59 - 5 Kills 6,8K Damage

The Type 59 is a Chinese tier 8 premium medium tank.

Chinese medium tank. Initially, the vehicle was a copy of the Soviet medium T-54A tank. The Type 59 entered service in 1959. The first tanks manufactured had no gun stabilizer or night-vision device. Later the vehicle underwent several modernizations. Between 6,000 and 9,500 vehicles of all variants were manufactured from 1958 through 1987.

This tank was removed from the in-game store on 16 January 2012. The decision was made "to ensure a healthy gameplay balance at higher tiers, and also to encourage a wider variety of tier 8 medium tank usage." It last appeared in the gift shop in August 2012. Though not available for traditional purchase, it frequently is the reward for first place in official competitions and tournaments.

Considered one of the best tier 8 premium tanks, the Type 59 combines thick frontal armor with a reliable gun and excellent mobility. Because of its large spread of features and lack of specialization, the Type 59 fills the 'pocket heavy' role of the tier VIII premiums and very often performs better than expected in 1-on-1 fights with tier VIII mediums and light tanks.

World of Tanks T110E5 - 6 Kills 10K Damage

The T110E5 is an American tier 10 heavy tank.

Developed from 1952 as a heavy tank with more powerful armament, compared to the T-43 (M103). Restrictions were placed on the vehicle sizing as the tank was supposed to pass through the narrow tunnels of the Bernese Alps. Several designs were considered, but the project was canceled. No vehicles were ever manufactured.

Simply called the "E5", It replaced the T30 as the American tier X heavy tank in patch 0.7.2. This tank has high penetration and relatively quick reload in exchange for a lower alpha damage compared to many traditional heavy tanks. The T110E5 is a relatively quick heavy with good gun handling characteristics, and since patch 0.9.10 has had excellent armor values, allowing it to force other tanks to react to its actions when driven well. The T110E5 is something of a blend of heavy and medium characteristics, allowing it to fill almost any role on the battlefield and perform well, but at the same time making it less specialized for specific roles compared to many other tier X tanks.

The T110E5 retains the 'eggshell' style of front hull armor layout from the M103 and has greater protection in the areas of high thickness both in the hull and the turret. However, there is little increase in effective protection in the previously thin areas such as the lower plate. The T110E5 also has a prominent commander's cupola that invites shells from opposing players. However, such an obvious target can be a boon as much as a liability in the hands of a player familiar with baiting and misdirecting cupola shots from opponents; the cupola is more heavily armored than most US cupolas and can surprise many an opponent looking for a quick shot. Only very high penetrating shells (250+) will be able to go through the cupola since the armor buff of patch 0.9.10.

Sadly, in patch 0.9.17.1 the E5's cupola was nerfed, making it a new weakspot for the E5.

The T110E5 marks the end of its American heavy line.

World of Tanks Panhard EBR 105 - 6 Kills 9,5K Damage

The Panhard EBR 105 is a French tier 10 light tank.

A variant of the Panhard EBR armored vehicle with more powerful armament. It featured improved suspension and the two-man GIAT TS 90 turret, upgraded to accommodate a 105 mm gun. The vehicle never saw mass production, nor entered service.

Currently the fastest vehicle in World of Tanks. The Panhard EBR 105 features insane mobility that surpasses any tanks that were ever added in the game, with a whopping speed of 95km/h in rapid mode. In the Common Test when the wheeled vehicles were unveiled, the EBR 105 had been able to achieve more than 100 km/h! Although its penetration and protection are underwhelming it can utilize its mobility to harass its targets and bring them down one by one.

The Panhard EBR 105 marks the end of its French light line.

World of Tanks WZ-132-1 - 3 Kills 8,1K Damage

The WZ-132-1 is a Chinese tier 10 light tank.

The Chinese experimental vehicle that united various Type 62 modernization projects. The name is conventional. No prototypes were built.

One of the ideal "Light Mediums" in WoT, it has quite reasonable protection (and a lot better than others LT's) with a very tough turret and all-around spaced armor to effectively protect it from HEAT and HESH rounds. This tank is excelled at fire supporting role, as well as taking some punishment with its turret armor before retreating.

The WZ-132-1 marks the end of its Chinese light line.

World of Tanks Rhm.-Borsig Waffenträger - 6 Kills 7,7K Damage

The Rhm.-Borsig Waffenträger is a German tier 8 tank destroyer.

Developed by the Rheinmetall-Borsig company and designed as a special artillery carrier. The vehicle was designed to carry an artillery system as well as to fire from the chassis. The vehicle utilized the suspension of the Hetzer tank destroyer. Development continued from the end of 1942 through to the middle of 1944. However, the project was discontinued in favor of the Ardelt project because of a complicated design, high cost, and excessive weight.

The Rheinmetall-Borsig Waffenträger is the first of the Waffenträger (Support Weapon) class tank destroyers available to the player. It has exceptionally good camouflage value in its tier. Unlike most tank destroyers, its gun is mounted on a turret, making it quite versatile on the battlefield. Its first gun, 128 mm gun, has high penetration, accuracy, and rate of fire, whereas the 15 cm gun sports higher damage at the cost of lower penetration, accuracy, and rate of fire. To balance, the Rheinmetall-Borsig has absolutely no armor -- even less than its predecessors -- and is somewhat sluggish like the Sturer Emil. Like its predecessors, it performs best taking a position behind the front line to deliver supporting fire to enemy tanks being fought by teammates up front.

World of Tanks T67 - 6 Kills 3,5K Damage

The T67 is an American tier 5 turreted tank destroyer.

Development started in the spring of 1942. After trials in the fall of 1942, the decision was made to replace the 57-mm gun with a 75-mm gun. Two prototypes were manufactured. The vehicle saw neither mass production nor service.

The T67 is considered a very fun and overall good tank to play. Its best features are its guns, particularly the 76mm M1A1, along with its superior speed and acceleration. When first purchased, it is very weak and has low engine power, but once fully upgraded, it is a force to be reckoned with. It can maintain its 61 kph top speed quite easily over all terrain and though the turret traverse is incredibly slow, the tank excels at flanking and exposing weak sides and rear. Although it has low penetration, its gun can penetrate almost any armor it comes across by hitting weak spots, and by the time they've been hit you'll most likely have had time to run away. In higher tiers, it can even be used as a heavily armed scout. Like most turreted TDs, its armor is sloped but incredibly thin, so don't expect to bounce much. In fact, if you try to use it as a classic stationary sniper TD, you'll probably be mercilessly destroyed. However, you will be very successful if you use this tank's superior speed and maneuverability to its best. A good example of this fact is that due to your high speed, you can "chase" enemy scouts, and get some damage done before the scout escapes.

The T67 leads to the M18 Hellcat.

World of Tanks M6A2E1 - 11 Kills 7,3K Damage

The M6A2E1 is an American tier 8 premium heavy tank.

The M6A2E1 was a further development of the T1 and M6 heavy tanks. Developed in August 1944, the vehicle had a larger turret and the 105-mm gun. Never saw mass production.

Originally available as part of the game's Heavy Pre-Order Package, it has reappeared for sale on the 1st of April, 2017, causing considerable controversy because of past promises that it would never be offered for sale. It is an M6 hull with almost doubled front armor plus a prototype (weaker and larger) T29 turret. Thanks to the rather strange looking fusion, this tank has earned the nickname of "mutant".

The M6A2E1 has an imposing slab of armour on the front, measuring out to almost 240mm after including slope. Flanking this tank is a good idea since the side and rear armor are especially thin.

The same 105mm gun as the T29 and T32 is mounted on the M6A2E1 with a lower rate of fire. It has reasonable manoeuvrability for a heavy tank, but a speed cap of 29 km/h discourages major map travel.

World of Tanks Object 260 - 6 Kills 10,3K Damage

The Object 260 is a Soviet tier 10 premium heavy tank.

A version of the Object 260 heavy tank. The design plans were completed in September 1945, but no prototypes were manufactured.

The Object 260 is earned after completing the fourth set of Personal Missions (The Long Awaited Backup Campaign). In game update 1.3, Object 260 received several buffs to gun handling, reload, aim time, gun depression, ammo rack capacity and turret armor (especially the roof weakspot).
